Marisa Tirado (she/her) is a writer and educator who resides in Colorado.

In 2022 Marisa published Selena Didn’t Know Spanish Either with Texas Review Press. The chapbook was reviewed by The Poetry Foundation’s Harriet Books and featured in The Poetry Foundation’s “Poetry Off the Shelf” podcast. Marisa is currently working on a poetry collection on cousinhood, along with a novel set in the Española, New Mexico. She is represented by literary agent Julia Masnik from the Watkins/Loomis Agency.

Marisa studied poetry and literary translation at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Her work is featured in Colorado Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, Denver Quarterly, Triquarterly, among other journals. Marisa currently teaches writing at University of Colorado-Boulder.
